Eugenia veadeirensis

Eugenia veadeirensis, a new species native/restricted toendemic to the Chapada dos Veadeiros from Brazil. The species most similar to E. veadeirensis is E. michaelneei. A subshrub up to 0.15 m tall, growing in scattered groups, generally connected by a horizontal woody xylopodium. Fruits are 0.8–1 × 0.6–0.8 cm, ellipsoid, glabrous, green when immature and yellow-orange when mature. 1 seed per fruit.
