Plinia costaricensis

Plinia costaricensis is a newly identified species of the Myrtaceae family, from Costa Rica. This impressive tree can reach up to 35 meters tall with a trunk diameter of around 40 cm, featuring a smooth, light-brown bark that exfoliates in thin plates. It flowers between April and June, and fruits from July to August, producing large, juicy mango-like fruits with a yellow-orange skin and pulp reminiscent of mango.
