Duguetia sp. "Paraná"

Duguetia sp. "Paraná" is a captivating and little-known species of the Annonaceae family, likely native/restricted toendemic to southern Brazil. The fruit is a remarkable sphere of tightly packed, star-like carpels, each adorned with a beautifully sculpted floral remnant, giving the entire fruit a unique, ornamental appearance. The surface texture is coarse and patterned, ranging from golden-orange to amber hues. The pulp is wsweet and pleasant.
