Eugenia sp. "Itacaré"

Eugenia sp. "Itacaré" is a tall, native tree reaching approximately 16 meters in height, discovered in Itacaré, Bahia, and growing in clay-rich soils typical of the Atlantic Forest. It produces sweet fruits that are completely free of astringency, a rare and highly desirable trait within the Eugenia genus. This combination of pleasant flavor, smooth texture, and adaptability to humid, forested environments makes Eugenia sp. "Itacaré a standout candidate for conservation, native fruit cultivation, and the expansion of biodiversity-friendly agroforestry systems.
