Pouteria sp. "Boneshell"

Pouteria sp. Boneshell is a new, unidentified species from Southeastern Brazil  Atlantic Rainforest, bearing fruits with very sweet white melting pulp that separates easily from the shiny brown seeds. The rind is very hard and perfectly protects the fruits from damage, which gave it the popular name of "Boneshell". The tree is of equivalent size to most wild Pouterias.
