Annona aff. coriaceae "Maranhão Ultra Orange"

An annona found in the interior of the state of Maranhão. It is very likely that it is a new species that is somewhat similar to Annona coriaceae, but with characteristics distinct from that species. Small and medium-sized tree that grows in a transitional environment of the cerrado, caatinga and Amazon biomes, produces fruits with a sweet flavor and is highly appreciated by local populations. This fruit has intense orange pulp and a striking flavor.
