Found at altitudes ranging from 900 to 2450 meters, this species produces oval-shaped fruits measuring up to 15 cm long and 8 cm wide. When ripe, the fruit turns a rich brown color, revealing a creamy white pulp filled with multiple seeds.
Highly aromatic with a scent reminiscent of guanabana (soursop), the fruit offers a smooth texture and a balanced flavor that is slightly sour and subtly sweet.
