Annona conica is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family. It is native/restricted toendemic to Ecuador, meaning it is native and restricted to that region. The plant thrives in subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
The Annona conica is known for its unique long fruits that resemble a fleshy pine cone. These fruits are edible, with soft, white flesh. Despite its unique characteristics, the Annona conica is threatened by habitat loss. This rare species is also found in rainforest and seasonally dry forest environments in northwestern Ecuador.
The domesticated and wild varieties can reach up to 300cm and 500cm in length, respectively.
