The fruits are reportedly edible raw, with a refreshingly sweet flavor. Annona paludosa can grow as a shrub reaching 120 - 150cm tall, or sometimes it becomes a tree up to 7 meters tall. It primarily grows in the wet tropical biome and is used for food. The fruit of Annona paludosa closely resembles Rollinia deliciosa, and its flesh is described as firm.
