Annona sylvatica

Annona sylvatica, also known as Araticum Do Mato or Embira, is a species of flowering plant in the Annonaceae family. It is native to southern and eastern Brazil, where it grows in coastal areas and at relatively higher altitudes in mountainous regions. This evergreen tree can reach up to 7 meters in height and is known for its fast growth rate.

It produces large, broadly elliptic leaves and whitish flowers, followed by yellowish, odd-shaped fruits with translucent flesh. The fruit is plentiful, edible, and is regularly gathered in the wild by locals. It is occasionally cultivated and is considered a good species to use in reforestation projects.
