Artocarpus anisophyllus

Artocarpus anisophyllus, commonly known as entawak or mentawa, is a tropical tree species belonging to the Moraceae family. Native to regions including Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, and Palawan in the Philippines, this species thrives in the wet tropical biome.  The entawak tree can reach heights of up to 45 meters and features large, compound leaves with unequal-sized leaflets. It produces round, brownish-yellow fruits approximately 3 to 4 inches in diameter. The fruit's orange-red flesh is noted for its sweet flavor, reminiscent of pumpkin, and is typically consumed fresh. Additionally, the seeds are edible and are often roasted and salted for consumption.
