Artocarpus rigidus "Monkey Jackfruit" Seeds
Monkey jackfruit is a tall, evergreen tree that can grow up to a height of 45 meters. The straight, cylindrical the trunk of a treebole can be up to 90cm in diameter, with Outgrowth at the base of a tree trunkbuttresses up to 300cm high. The tree is commonly harvested from the wild for local use as a food and source of materials. The wood is harvested commercially as a source of keledang timber, and the tree is occasionally cultivated for its edible fruit, especially in Malaysia and Indonesia.
The roundish fruit has a pleasant flavor. The sweet orange flesh is usually eaten raw. It is sweet and juicy. The fruit is usually up to 7cm in diameter but can be up to 13cm.
