Campomanesia schlechtendaliana, also known as "Guabiroba Verde Rugosa", is a species of small tree or shrub that is native to South America, including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. It typically grows up to 6 meters tall, with a trunk up to 30 cm in diameter. The leaves are glossy and oblong, up to 10 cm long and 5 cm wide, and have a strong aromatic scent when crushed.
The tree produces edible fruit, which is round, about 2-3 cm in diameter, and has a sweet and slightly acidic taste. The fruit is used in traditional medicine for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, and is also consumed fresh or used to make jams and jellies.
