Duguetia cf. vallicola is a striking and rare species collected from the subregion of Urabá in Antioquia, Colombia. This tree reaches an adult height of 7–8 meters and begins fruiting at around 5 years of age. Its unique fruits, as shown in the image, have a spiked, layered texture and an appealing reddish-purple hue. Inside, the pulp delivers a honey-sweet flavor, making it a true treat for fruit enthusiasts.
