Duguetia fufuracea, also known as Araticum, is a slow-growing evergreen tree that can reach a height of 15-20 meters.

The fruit, which is around 10cm long and 7cm wide, has a pleasant, sweet flavor that is somewhat reminiscent of coconuts. Although the pulp around the seeds is scarce, it is succulent and very tasty with a strong aroma. The fruit is sometimes gathered from the wild for local use.
