Small Amazon tree, of slow growth and rare occurrence. It produces fruits of very different shapes, which come out directly from the trunk of the tree producing a very ornamental aspects.

Fruits have yellow pulp, very aromatic, and flavor reminiscent of sweet ginger hence the name.
