Eugenia bahiensis

Eugenia bahiensis is found in the Olivença Bahia Region of Brazil, growing in sandy soils. The tree found was around 4 meters in height, or 10-13 feet. The fruits are oval-shaped, and ripen to a dark purple/black. The fruits contain a purple flesh that is very sweet and juicy with zero astringency.  The skin is thin and edible with little to no astringency.
