Eugenia Mosenii is a 4 to 7 meters tall tree, with a straight, light brown trunk, 20 to 30 cm in diameter. The canopy of a treecrown is branched and dense because of the large, umbrella-shaped leaves. The leaves are one main leaf - not compoundsimple, opposing sideopposite, leathery in texture (hard like leather), glabrous (hairless) on both sides, measuring 8 to 15 cm in length by 3 to 5 cm in width. Slow-growing plant that prefers a shady environment. From the third year of life it is resistant to frost up to -3 degrees, and can be grown on the banks of rivers where periodic flooding occurs.
Fruiting from June to August, the fruit does not have much pulp but has a similar taste to pitanga and grumixama. The tree is slow growing, but its appearance is very ornamental, especially when it is fruiting. Seeds were imported directly from brazil and germinated.
