Eugenia myrcianthes "Ubajai"

Eugenia myrcianthes, commonly known as "Ubajai," is a small drops leaves annuallydeciduous tree that is found in open vegetation, usually near the coast, in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, and Bolivia. It has spreading branches and a flat-topped canopy of a treecrown, and can grow up to 4-6 meters tall. The short the trunk of a treebole can be 20-30cm in diameter.

The fruit of Eugenia myrcianthes is about 5cm in diameter and has a succulent, aromatic pulp with a pleasant, acidic-sweet flavor. The fruit is often used to make juices, jams, and jellies.
