Eugenia platysema Seeds
Eugenia platysema is a tree that originates from Santa Catarina in Brazil, and can grow up to 3-6 meters tall. It produces sweet and acidic purple berries that are 2 cm in diameter.
The fruit is said to have a similar taste to Eugenia burkartiana but not as sweet. The fruit has a jam-like texture with very dark red juice. This species is super cold-tolerant and can withstand slight frosts. Its seeds were imported from Brazil.
