Eugenia pruniformis 'Restinga'

Eugenia pruniformis 'Restinga' is a variation of the previously introduced Eugenia pruniformis found on hill outcrops in Rio de Janeiro. The Restinga is a seaside area, usually between the sea and a lagoon. Species from this area are very tough and can stand extremes of temperature and light. The fruit quality is said to be as nice as the original Rio de Janeiro type.
