Garcinia sp. "Serra dos Órgãos"

Garcinia sp. "Serra dos Órgãos" is a newly identified species within the Garcinia genus, native to the high-altitude Atlantic Forest of Serra dos Órgãos, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Found thriving at elevations of 1,000 meters, this species is adapted to the humid, misty cloud forests of the region, making it a unique discovery in the world of tropical fruits. The bright yellow fruits have a mucronate (pointed) surface and grow over 3 cm in diameter. The pulp is highly aromatic, juicy, and bursting with an excellent sweet-tart flavor, making it one of the most exciting new Garcinia discoveries in Brazil.
