Manilkara bella

Manilkara bella is a tropical tree species in the family Sapotaceae, native to the Amazon rainforest in South America. It can grow up to 30 meters tall with a trunk diameter of up to 1.5 meters. The tree has glossy dark green leaves and produces small white flowers, which are followed by round or oval-shaped fruit that measures about 3 cm in diameter.

The fruit of Manilkara bella is known as níspero in Spanish and is edible when ripe, with a sweet and slightly tangy flavor. The fruit has a thin, brownish-yellow skin that is easy to peel, revealing a soft, juicy, and orange flesh. The fruit contains a single large seed.
