Onychopetalum periquino "Amarela"

Onychopetalum periquino, also known as Envira Caju, is a fruit belonging to the Annonaceae family. This particular variety's outer skin is yellow.

The fruit's pulp is mostly juicy yellow and has some astringency near the the inner, usually woody layer - the stone in a stonefruitendocarp, while the the middle layer of pericarp, the fleshy part of some fruitmesocarp is less tingly, drying sensationastringent and the skin is fairly thin.
