Pinanga crassipes is an evergreen palm that grows a single short unbranched stem and delicate pinnate leaves. It is harvested from the wild for local use and requires high humidity and a minimum temperature of 20°C for growth.
It prefers rich but well-drained, slightly acidic soil and is native to Southeast Asia, specifically Malaysia (Borneo - Sabah and Sarawak).
