Plinia nana "Crespa"

Plinia nana "Crespa" is a variety of the common Plinia nana (Anã do cerrado) or dwarf of the Cerrado Jaboticaba. It has a beautiful curvy exterior appearance and a deep almost black coloration, which gives the fruit its name.

The plant is a small shrub with fine branches and is native/restricted toendemic to the Cerrado and Campo Rupestre regions in the central area of Minas Gerais. The fruit has a sweet, watery pulp that does not adhere to the seed and is cultivated by collectors.
