Its the trunk of a treebole is straight and ranges in diameter from 30 to 50 cm. Developed plants can withstand drought, but not flooding.

The juicy pulp of the fruits, in particular, is palatable. You can eat it either raw or cooked, and produces edible oil as well. Although the wood is perfect for carpentry and construction, charcoal is the main application for it. The plant can be produced from seeds, and after sowing, germination takes place in about 4-6 weeks.

There are two varieties of umari, one with a dark purple fruit and the other with a yellow-orange color, however, they are the same species. The fruit is around 7cm long and 5cm wide with a fleshy pulp that contains an edible oil in the pulp and seed.
