Pouteria hypoglauca, commonly known as Cinnamon Apple, is a small tree native to Central America. It typically grows to a maximum height of 10-20 feet and thrives in full sun, requiring regular watering.

The Cinnamon Apple tree produces rare and creamy fruits with a mild flavor that has a subtle sweetness. The flesh of the fruit has a milky texture with coarse graininess, resembling a seeded grape. In the Aztec or Mayan language, this fruit is referred to as Xox.
