Pouteria sp. "Canistel do Acre"

Another discovery in the Brazilian Amazon, an interesting fruit from the sapotaceae family and the Pouteria genus, although still unidentified, could be a new species

With fruits even when ripe, green in color and yellowish pulp and very tasty, reminiscent of the flavor of another Pouteria, the canistel (Pouteria campechiana)

An extremely rare Pouteria for the first time collected and exhibited, due to its flavor being superior to canistel, this species is very interesting for preservation studies, collection and for all those who wish to one day taste its mythical fruits.
