Found in the forest of Colombia at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. The species reaches 8 meters high. The fruits are yellowish in color when ripe and are large fruits. The texture of the fruit is similar to canistel. The flavor is also very similar to canistel. Fruits can be made into juice, ice cream, desserts and eaten as fresh fruit.
