Pouteria torta cf. gallifructa

This species is found in Colombia at 2000 meters above sea level, which indicates that this pouteria is resistant to some cold. This tree can get large if planted in the ground, and has a beautiful reddish trunk. The fruits are very unique, they are round with many large fuzzy orange hairs. The flavor is very good and reminiscent of Pouteria Caimito. This is one of the rarest and most difficult to obtain Pouteria in Colombia. This is the first time to our knowledge that this species has been available to purchase by seed in large quantities at a reasonable price. Seeds have been tested, and are very viable. Plant as soon as they arrive.
