Syagrus x matafome

A natural hybrid between Syagrus coronata and Syagrus vagans, which produces an admirable quantity of large semi-spherical fruits (4 cm in diameter), with orange and somewhat fibrous pulp, very sweet and like gelatin, extremely softmucilaginous, very rich in vitamin A. The palm tree is very beautiful, with a single trunk, with a feathery, slightly arched canopy of a treecrown; the huge bunches full of orange fruits also lend it unique beauty.The fruits are consumed raw and used for juices, sweets, cakes, ice cream, etc. such as other promising Syagrus species.
